I'm going to agree with both people above me. Everybody is always asking "which racqet is better?" People can answer that for themselves, but not for somebody else.

If you gave a little about how you play (baseliner, power serve, net player, spin use...) we could give you some general guidelines as to what racquets tend to work better for people with a similar style. But even that isn't 100% accurate.

I generally suggest getting as heavy a racquet as you can handle, because it will last you longer as you improve. Again, that can't be a total blanket statement for everybody.

What I can tell you, though, is the general trend in how racquets play.
1. Heavier racquets have more control, and rely on you to create the power (generally, your more advanced players use these). Lighter racquets are for people who need an extra power boost from the racquet (these are best for beginners/intermediates).
2. Oversize racquets also help with some power, and they also have larger sweet spots. This is good for somebody who isn't extremely consistent with their ball contact. They are much more forgiving on off center shots. Midplus/midsize racquets have much more control. You do have a smaller area to hit the ball with, so you need a pretty consistent stroke for these.
3. Head heavy racquets are good for powerful baseliners. The weight in the head helps with power, even in a heavier racquet. Head light racquets are easier to use with spin, and are much more maneuverable at the net.

So, you need to decide exactly what it is you are looking for in a racquet. Once you know that, demo some racquets at fit the bill, and choose whichever YOU like the best.
