I need help chosing a tennis racquet, Wilson BLX or Head Youtek for my youth tennis career?
I am 16 years old and i demo and played about 20 different rackets and need to choose one for my tennis career. I am very indecisive i need help choosing one. So far i like the Wilson K factor Kobra 16x19 because of the power and spin i get, however i also like the wilson blx 6.1 95 18x20 and the head youtek prestige midplus 18x20. I am a baseline player and been playing tennis for 1 and a half years. I am about a 3.4 to a 4.0 player and need help choosing a racket. Plz help me.
If it helps i like the feel of both but feels kind of heavy when i hit the blx.
If it also help si also used to use a wilson k factor 6.2 16x19, its a light racquet.
i think you can start with either one.i played with the Kobra Team FX (which is lighter than the Kobra Tour) for some time, and i think it won't change a lot if you switch to the Youtek Radical (again, lighter than Prestige) MP (only 4 grams unstrung weight and 2 sq inches difference between my two racquets).
this happens as sometimes i loved to play from the baseline using the Kobra Team, but some other times i'd also play serve-and-volley which i found more satisfactory using the Youtek MP.
i am quite happy with my combination, and i think you could be, too.
hope this helps
===Edit===
hey since you've played with K6.2 why don't you pick the Kobra Tour and lower the tension to about 52-54 lbs using K-Gut strings, should give you about the same feelings...
